Johnny D’Juggler
Johnny Phelan is Ireland’s top comedy juggler and stilt-walker appealing equally to children and adults. His new ‘Johnny D`Juggler’ show sees this very funny act juggle on stilts while keeping up his crowd pleasing bilingual patter in English agus ás Gaeilge.

Fun Salsa Lessons
Merengue is very energetic and great dance to start with. It is the easiest dance to learn as it is a two-step beat. Merengue has many of the same variations as Salsa.

Marcel SoWhat
Not the classic french mime artist, his alternative take will have you in stitches. From pulling ropes to moonwalk, Marcel will bring you to his silent and funny world. Be
careful! He might be following you up the streets!

Nemo The Magician
Look out for this mysterious magician! (the magic will happen). In the palm of your hand ropes, cards, silk, even tomatoes, anything is magic with Nemo. The magic show is a family favorite and your help will be needed to make a special show. Do you dare to join Nemo on Stage?

Gumboots Puppets
Gumboots puppets have a reputation all over Ireland as one of the most original puppet shows around; Gumboots touch on the SCARIER side of entertainment, with spooky little puppets that will chill your backbone with laughter. Goose bumps and giggles might occur during the show!

World Air Fiddle Championships
The popular finale of Sligo Live Festival’s Saturday Family Fun Street programme, where even those who can’t play but would like to, but can do a pretty good impression have the ‘World Air Fiddle Championships’ which has proved such a hit each year. Air guitarists have had their moments of glory in the front rows of concert halls, dance floors and full length bedroom mirrors across the world. The people in Sligo Live come from a more traditional background and wondered if fans of Frankie Gavin, Martin Hayes and Kevin Burke ever secretly listened to their ipods with an imaginary bow dancing across an air fiddle under their chin. Air Fiddling was being overshadowed by the ubiquitous air guitar and Sligo Live felt that traditional air musicians must be given their 15 minutes of fame. Airheads from all over Ireland applauded this initiative. The Championship is judged on the clapometer, driven by audience response so everybody has a chance to be Simon Cowell. Laugh till you fall down at the hilarious antics of the air fiddlers.

French Market
The ever popular and atmospheric French Market is back again by popular demand. This year a bigger and better market will grace Rockwood Parade in the heart of Sligo. There will be speciality foods and crafts with local craft workers in attendance.

Keep your eyes open for surprise acts around Sligo town. Mischief and mayhem will keep you on your toes at every street corner! Each performer will perform 3 to 4 times throughout the day!
