Ye Vagabonds are brothers Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn. A core force in the traditional Irish music circuit, Ye Vagabonds fuse reflective folk music with traditional elements. The duo continue to develop new ideas within the trad style by forming their own sound. They have developed their compositions with influences of America old time, European music and the 1960s folk revival music. They have made numerous television and live radio appearances in Ireland, and were also part of Imagining Home, a live broadcast concert in the National Concert Hall, curated by Glen Hansard, Philip King and Gary Sheehan.
In October 2017 they launched their debut, self-titled album to great acclaim. Their second album The Hare’s Lament was released on 22nd March 2019 to huge critical acclaim. In 2019 they won the BBC Radio Two Folk Award for Best Traditional Track, and they swept the boards at the RTÉ Radio One Folk Awards where they won Best Traditional Track, Best Group, and Best Album.
Niamh Regan is a critically acclaimed songwriter from county Galway. Released in the midst of the pandemic in 2020, her debut album Hemet announced her arrival as one of the most distinctive songwriters in Ireland today. Earning nominations for both the RTE Folk Awards’ and the Choice Awards’ Album of the Year, the album received soaring praise, and led to performances on The Late Late Show, Other Voices, and La Blogothèque. A natural storyteller, Regan’s songs are windows into her world, revealing snapshots into the intricate details of everyday life and elevates them into something universal.
