ABOUT SLIGO LIVE

ABOUT FESTIVAL

SLIGO LIVE, NORTH WEST IRELAND'S PREMIER FESTIVAL!

Sligo Live is a community centred festival created by musicians and music lovers to showcase the very best of talent – internationally established and emerging. Since its foundation by Shane Mitchell and Rory O’Connor in 2005 the festival has delighted audiences with a diverse array of both international and local talent bringing together the very best and the renowned in folk, roots, indie and traditional musicians, as well as comedy.
The festival is a partnership of Sligo County Council, Atlantic Technological University, Sligo musicians and music lovers, working together to celebrate and promote the County’s tremendous artistic heritage and vibrant contemporary culture.
In doing so, we are highlighting Sligo and helping to attract people to visit and live in this very special place.
